Nightmare Gulch is a small, colorful, highly scenic canyon in Red
Rock Canyon State Park in Southern California. The area attracts many
raptors. To protect the raptor nesting sites, the gulch is closed to
hikers and vehicle travel yearly from February 1 to July 1.

On day 2 of our trip to Death Valley National Park we headed to Fall Canyon for a long day hike through canyon
narrows and to do some bouldering. We explored the first 4 1/2 miles of
the canyon gorge that lead us through spectacular deep, colorful, and
winding corridors.
